OH! Speaking of employees. We had a huge, heavy 6-drawer dresser we were getting. So, obviously we needed a cart, but of course couldn't find one. I love Ikea, but it's usually not worth it. The people are so rude and run into you and I want to beat their children.

nah, all part of getting shot down, that, and it does make for funny **** to talk about afterwards.

i remeber my sister was dating this asshole douche bag, and i asked her why she was, when she also knew these other guys that would treat her like a princess.

her reason, "It's a sign of confidince. I know he won't take **** from no one."

when my ex broke up with me after 4 years i did a lot of reading and it helped a lot because i was lost with women. i'm definitely not a connoisseur with picking up chicks... but i do alright and i can say i've never been turned down when i knew i wanted someone and was going to get them. its all confidence dude...

http://www.askmen.com/ has tons of good articles... though, i haven't looked at the site in... 5-6 years...

honestly, if some chick gave me the small dick gesture i'd buy her a shirley temple for acting like a child

Which reminds me. Sorry about my coworker coming up to you and saying, "So you're the guy whos in love with himself." I swear, I didn't tell her that! hahahahha

welds loooook amazing.

i'm either go one of two ways for the style of this car... and as such one of two ways with performance. i'm either going with a trans am series style. wide front and back tires and a lower profile for less sidewall flex so that it'll tear up the track, with obvious suspension upgrades and eventually a supercharger or built motor and just use the nitrous for a little fun and occasional days at the drag strip

or, i'm going for a more drag strip appearance and obvious mods for that and maybe see about getting into some cheap form of casually competitive drag racing.

either way, the car will be formed around a motorsport that i will, time and money permitting, get more into

That orange Cobra you posted a pic of, I almost bought them because they were a steal, just a lot of money to fork over really for a full set. Just the trips to the dragstrip and then cruising around once in awhile.

when you run slicks you want skinnies up front, for your safety as well as for the weight savings. also if you dont have a fair amount of seat time drag racing then jumping right onto slicks could be dangerous... the car sways a lot on those soft tires and is more difficult to control, especially to those who are inexperienced. i'm holding off for the time being for this reason and just gonna go run street tires and be one of those 12 second Supras until i have some seat time.

i'm def weighing my options and doing research. i like both forms of racing, and either one would be a semi-competitive past time. ie: i'd like to be able to compete in either one... but neither would become something serious that i end up spending 10's of thousands of dollars to maintain. i guess more of a weekend warrior type of thing with a chance of placing every so often. but more to have fun and get to actually use the car for what it was built to do.

i don't think there is anything wrong with considering looks when taking into account which motorsport i want to focus building the car for. lets be honest, its going to be mediocre at either one b/c it isn't getting full blown built for either one because it'll remain a daily driven vehicle. so since it'll be daily driven and not a dedicated track car, its gotta look good.

i'd say a good portion of the people on this site consider looks to be of as equal importance to how the vehicle performs. while i want the car to perform, i need to consider how it will look as well.

if i run all draglites i'll put at least 15x6's up front. i'm not running around on skinnies. and for the back i'll be using drag radials. its going to be a street legal car... it has to be. I'm certainly not against leaving off the race tires except when i take it to the track. i'm not giving up my stock rims/tires.

I had a good time last night.

Walk into work this morning, everyones shocked that I'm here, they werent expecting me back yet and already had me running around. Within 20 minutes, I take my work car (VW CC) to get gas and a giant trash can top blows off and gets wedged under neath at the the gas station...had one of the mechanics come jack the car up to get it out as the under body cover got wedged in the opening. I came in late, froze my ass off and didnt sleep near as much as I wanted to only to find out they didnt even expect me here. FML.

At least the drive here was enjoyable, thanks to Angelo

company i work for is making millions more this year than it did last year. we're also hiring 20 new web developers. so the economy isn't hurting me at all.

its the latter. the two car payments, and living expenses are eating away at my money. however, i'm not hurting... i just want more money in the bank to save up for stuff. once the srt sells i'll be more than fine as $600 gets freed up each month. and then moving in with my mom in another few months (to help her financially) will free up another $400 or so on rent.

basically speaking... i want more money to spend/save.

Funny story mine caught fire too, but it wasn't the car's fault. I ran an unfused 12v through the car to power my little lcd tv I got in japan. I hooked it up to a power source that was fused to 60amp for the subs. It must have gotten caught under the seat rails and one day I was coming south on 95 and the thing just lit up. Smoke filled the car almost instantly. I couldn't breathe or see. I managed to pull over and I cleared some of the smoke to see what it was. I knew my car was going to burn if I didn't stop it so I grabbed the glowing wire with my bare hand (well actually through a towel but the towel burned almost instantly) and yanked it to break the circuit. I'm surprised I don't have a scar from that. It really hurt. In retrospect I should have let the car burn or found a tool but I'm sure insurance wouldn't have paid and I had sooooo little money then.

LOL Man it sounds like you party like we used to in rural lancaster county. The people out here (towards philly) don't know how it's done. Too many people, too many cops. Imagine living in a place that has no local law enforcement, where traffic on the way to school means having to pass an old person at 80mph on a back road barely wide enough for two cars. One state trooper patrols once a month because the barracks is 25+ miles away. Welcome to my teenage years. I do miss that aspect of them.

Yeah, I went to RIT and financed it and dropped out after 2 terms. I tried to get a full time job overnight because I was having financial problems because my mom was too broke to take on my car insurance. I got fired in the first week for missing a schedule change. I needed gas to drive back and forth to school and I had a smoking habit too. Plus the chicks up there pretty much demanded a date or beer to even touch a boobie. I joined a fraternity and our pledge project meant about $550 on my 2 credit cards. I had a $1000 limit. Nobody ever paid me back even one cent. I began to pay one credit card bill with the other and things snowballed. Now I make more than any of my pledge brothers. And my loans for those 2 terms have been paid off for years. Win. (I'm not encouraging any of you to not go to college. I am just an awesome self-learner).
