It's difficult haha. mainly because im impatient. but, since i have my springs now, im looking into wheels, and i have NO idea what i want. the color of my car doesn't help.

I'm a bit of a wheel whore. But I have the total opposite issue. I know exactly what I want, but I can't find them anywhere.

I laugh at people who spend money on wheels when there car is barely worth that much. But wheels can def make a car look like somethnig special and add preformance.

But the cost for wheels is sooo high for no reason. Thanks to all the rappers with dubs?

Void you warrenty really? That isn't possible for repairing a wheel unless said wheel was the direct reason a part failed whitch is 99.9% impossible.

thats the thing, it was me driving on 84 westbound that bent the rim. i went to the dealership to price a new one, they told me $800+ cause thy have to return the rim to japan before they get a new one, store the car while they wait for it, and have a techincian swap the tire pressure sensor.

so, i went to a rim repair shop instead, got it fix for $215. took the civic in for a 10k mile check up back at the dealership, then they informed me that my TPMS showed that one of the sensors was missing for 4 days, they asked why. I told them i got the rim fixed, then the manager came out and informed me i voided the warrenty cause of the tempary removal of a safety feature of the car. I tried fighting it, even writing to Honda USA, all i got was basiclly "SHould have paid for a new rim."

And also, what are these juries thinking anyway? There's no way you'll ever convince me that a slightly modified car makes it so he never should have been on the road in the first place. What if he was a pedestrian? Who cares if she ran him down in a car, on a bike, etc. She ran his ass down!

LOL Anyway, modified or not if he has a license and the car is registered and insured the woman who ran the red light is more at fault. If he's uninsured, drunk, etc I have no sympathy. I've said it before and I'll say it again I hate the system as it's currently setup because in more ways than one it assrams tuners and lets off asshat minivan drivers applying lipstick at 75mph who kill motorcyclists.

And also, what are these juries thinking anyway? There's no way you'll ever convince me that a slightly modified car makes it so he never should have been on the road in the first place. What if he was a pedestrian? Who cares if she ran him down in a car, on a bike, etc. She ran his ass down!

also, it was in cali. the same state in which a guy tried to break into a house, falls through the skylight, broke his back, sued the family, and won.

The ex-man cave. I really wanted to turn it into an old-school nintendo themed media room. It's already wired for surround sound, has the dimmer lights, all that jazz, but we've only been down there once, maybe twice to watch TV. So now it's going to be the office/dog room.

I'm thinking perhaps further down the line he may be able to get what he paid for it. but it really is overpriced for what it is... even the honda community knows that.

at this point, the best he could hope for is someone steals it and he make 8-10k on it due to the value of the car

thats what i'm hoping for. that the value will go up further down the road. that, and i found out a couple of mugens are already wreck, and some were arlready stolen. so, the price will go up, evil, i know

i don't think parting it and storing it would be a good idea

i doubt it'd be worth it after 20 years either... unless you find someone passionate about the car...

there is a late 80's dodge shelby lancer with i believe under 100 miles on it that keeps popping up online for i think around 18k... it is in beautiful mint condition, runs just fine, been sitting in a garage for that long, has been maintained, etc... while all us 80's dodge fan boys drool over it... it just isn't worth it.

of course, most of the dodge shelby folks are a) cheap and b) want to modify the motor... and you just don't do that to a mint 20+ y/o car.

Leno should buy it...

He will never get what he paid for it down the road. Very few cars are like that unless they are individually numbered and all. Plus the fact that people were interested in them when they were new shows they hold no value. Might be 'worth' more but people won't 'pay' for it.

it'll take an adult collector i think. but he should be able to get what he paid for it at some point if it stays in great shape.

We are talking 20+ years old cars and the only reason they are worth anything is there weren't 1/2 as many cars produced back then. But even then, the cost of cars = what is costs today when you add inflation in so it really isn't worht anything :-)
