Be gentle , Subaru Impreza General Info
Couple of questions, 1. Lug patten / 2. Cheap / good aftermarket exhaust ? 3. Are most RS parts interchangable (hood , bumper, trunk) 4. Worth running Cold air Intake 5. Good websites and forums? P.S. looking for all the above parts

Most of the stuff swaps over, RS hood, front bumper etc etc.. But there really isnt much in the way of exhaust and intakes, you could probably make your own if you wanted too, fairly sure the 97 has a MAF sensor though so that must stay. They sell this adapter at pep boy for a filter if you just wanted to get rid of the box. Not much performance improvement, but it might sound cool. lol. I think borla makes a single port header for it, at least they use too. For the exhaust you can just get an STI axle back and possibly a stock midpipe and have a local exhaust shop reduce it down at the cat for proper fitment. I did one a few weeks back and it sounded cool for what it was. Once you get through the winter you can just swap it if you have the budjet. 2002-03 WRX engines are very cheap these days. All you need is the engine, trans, rear diff, wiring harness, front sway bar and power steering pump and lines. I would suggest most of the installation yourself if you can. Once you get too the wiring contact Zephyr on nasioc.com and he will come to your house and wire that baby up in just a few hours. I think he charges around 900.00. Then you have yourself a nice little car that makes midrange power and will pass inspection if need be.

Borla Catback installed today, sounds awesome. Was afraid would loose some power going to a 3in exhaust on a NA motor but feels the same. Trying to only spend about $1000 and then turn my attention back to the 240 but damm this little car is addictive.
anyone want to trade buitl 240 and tired impreza for a WRX ? i kidd, a little ![]() next is rs bumper, hood and wheels. What suspension is everyone using. Looking to go lower but not break the bank...

I would also suggest:
www.wrxtuners.com www.iwsti.com Have you considered a re-tune? That might allow you to squeeze out more power and a smoother ride out of your current stock auto given the addition of the Borla Cat-back. |

rs25.com as mentioned above. Don't waste your time on the other sites unless you're looking for cheap parts or something. Not near as many tools. Iwsti is a good site too but most are obviously not as knowlegable on that chassis as the guys on rs25.

1. Lug patten / (5x100)
2. Cheap / good aftermarket exhaust ? (SRS on ebay, people love them) 3. Are most RS parts interchangable (hood , bumper, trunk) (yes) 4. Worth running Cold air Intake (if you find a cheap used one go for it) 5. Good websites and forums? (Nasioc is the king of Subaru forums, but the people there tend to act like as*hats, i'm on there "yo14jman")

1. Still looking for a nice sumer wheel 2. Borla Catback installed last week 3. Picking up a bumper soon, as for hood Went another direction, rather than going with the RS hood. I bought a WRX hood scoop and diffuser and i am retrofitting it to my hood. Looks good so far, just have to play with the diffusers so more..... 4. Have read mixed reviews on cold air intakes ? 5. yeah i know about the bigger forum . Same holds true for some Nissan sites. A bunch of Fanboys that know everything and **** jdm. thx for all the help really having fun with this little daily. Really makes me want to trade the 240 in on a WRX Just miss the power of the 240.

I've had two 240's and I do miss them but I wouldn't trade my wrx for anything. Something about them is addicting. If you make it out to a meet in Allentown you can run into a lot of knowledgeable people including the guys from Area1320. I gave up on the subbie forums and get my info there lol.
