advice - going for my permet saturday

I'm going to the DMV saturday morning in langhorne to get my bike permit.

Does anyone have advice regarding the written test? I took the one online and passed, but I doubt it was specific to PA's test.

I also couldnt find anything to study or read regarding the test.

I'd like to get it done this Sat without failing so I can register and ride my bike this weekend.

I took mine forever ago, so I can't be specific, but just make sure you know the hand signals. But try these links to sample tests and good luck.

It was 8 or 9 years ago. But I'm from NY, we had to take a written test.

wow. . they actually make you take a test? When I got my permit. . I walked in with a money order. Said "I want a motorcycle permit" . . handed over the money order. . they gave me a permit. . yay

Definitely check out the PA Motorcycle Safety Course. . it's free. And fun, even if you have experience. And at the end of the course you take the written test and the "road" test. Did I mention its free?

Same here.

I see no reason to make someone take another test. If your competent to pass the driving test your competent enough to drive a bike.

My permit did expire like 3 years ago lol.....I'm still riding.

Permit is a lot of common sense so it shouldn't be a big deal for you. I took the rider course a couple of months back it was a good time. I don't know how it works in Jersey but in pa it was free.

I got my permit 12 years ago.. it expired 11 years ago haha..

I recently went to get another and had to take teh written because I let it lapse for so long..

I failed my first shot out. My advice is to take EVERY online test you can.. even the ones you pay for. The questions on there have absolutely ZERO to do with motocycle riding.

Best part is you can keep going back every day and re-take it untill you pass

I really hope I dont fail it lol... I live in PA now so I would be taking the PA test. I've been reading through the PDF and there is a TON of information.

Ideally i'd like to get my bike legal this weekend....
