Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero

Which do you prefer? I am split between the two and don't know which to get.

Never played the new guitar hero, so I can't really help. I can say i have Rockband 2 (SE if that makes a difference?) And I love it.

Oh, and I have heard the drum kit for guitar hero is sub par.. Don't know how bad they are tho..

The instruments for GH are better, but it seems the songs in RB are better. The drums on GH are MUCH better than RB's. I have played both and GH feels a lot more natural, and the new GH guitar is very nice, minus my squeaky strum bar. But, after seeing how great you are at the drums, you might as well just stick to a bongo if they have one

ehhhh, they are all repeated colors. At least the GH drums each drum/cymbal are different colors. But, it all just comes down to preference.

Rock band! On the 360 at least. You can DL tons more songs for rock band than guitar hero. I got the AC/DC Live track pack for christmas. it's sweet.

I like Rock Band a lot. I heard Guitar Hero songs for guitar are harder/more intricate at the higher levels than songs for Rock Band at higher levels. But I wouldn't know cause I haven't played the new Guitar Hero.

too me the notes they choose w/ rock band seem to flow better w/ the song where in GH it seems they just start putting random **** in on hard and up..

I prefer Rock Band, mostly due to the song list they have. I think they are over 500 songs now, including both discs and DLC. The instruments for GH though are quite a bit better, at least for the guitar part. The RB guitar just feels, mushy I want to say, where the GH one is a LOT more solid.

To download songs on XBL for either game, is it free or you need marketplace points?
