Has anyone taken the "online skills challenge" at computertraining.com? I did, and I got an email back that says this:

"Hi Daniel!

My name is Chad Emory, the Assistant Director of Admissions with ComputerTraining.com. I am very pleased to say that you did exceptionally well on your on line skills challenge and I am excited to speak with you to review your test scores.

You should feel very proud that you have progressed to this level. Only those who demonstrate a solid foundation with Microsoft operating systems receive this email.

Please give me a call or email once this is received. I will also be following up with you shortly. Please note that I will be calling from the 800 number listed below.

Is this legit? Does everybody get the same response back?

Well like, I kind of do. Just not a whole lot. But the way they made it sound, I must be a genious! hahaha anyone else?

They are really looking for people that know how to just use a PC and can fin their way around windows. I took it a few years back, and I believe back then they told you your score at the end of the test. It seems like a pretty good place if that is the direction you are looking to go and do not want to do the whole degree route. They also help you find a job at the end of the term as well. I was going to do it but at the time the GI Bill wouldn't pay for it. And I didn't want to take out any more student loans.

yeah just to let you know they will of course tell you that you did an excellent job so you can be admitted so they make money. These directors are no more than just sales people trying to meet admission quotas.

they wouldn't be teaching you anything something a 14 y/o who was interested in computer's wouldn't know already...

They're basically training you for a life in the "helpdesk"

Someone should "take" the test...and bomb it on purpose...JUST to see the "results".

Done. I answered some questions correctly to make it look like I was trying and didn't choose any off the wall answers.

I got a phone call after I took it. They made me feel smart afterwards. I ignore the calls though. I heard the place is a rip-off. Your best bet is to get a degree in IT/Computer whatever. A certificate is nothing compared to a degree.
