No, but you could use it as an electronic reciever to detonate. Call the phone, send an electronic signal via the ringer, and boom.

Not enough energy, but as a trigger...

Yeah not to cause the explositon to be the switch it is used instead of using a timer. Scary to think the way technology is being used for such terrible things.

cellphone makes an excellent trigger, saw quite a bit of that in Iraq on IEDs. of course they ALSO used a lot of the cheap 2 way FRS radios

which DONT require a radio tower for operation. and can cost as little as 20 bucks. they need to mount jammers in the tunnels. of course that still leaves timers and a number of switches that can be built out of junk with a basic knowledge of electronics. this aint stopping anybody
