I want to go back to stock, and trade in my car on something that doesn't need to be modded.

I'm sick of having to spend money to be happy with my car.

All the money I've put into my car could've bought me something more worthwhile to begin with.

eh, you guys say that now. I say it all the time, but everytime I get into my rough shifting rattling noisebucket and hit boost I remember exactly why I spent the money.

Daily's drivers make built cars fun.

My biggest nightmare is driving a 100% stock car. It's like having one retarded kid. If you have one retard and one super smart athletic kid everything is cool cuz people will be like, hey your seed isn't ALL bad. But if you only have a retarded child people are like, poor dude...he must have consumed copious ammounts of oxodiglitherol...

See, I forget all about it when its warm out and I have my summer tires on...

But this winter bull**** drives me nuts. I hate steelies, I hate potholes, I hate rough roads, and I hate the clunks that come out of my suspension in the cold.

Not to mention I have to throw 800 bucks into fixing the front of my car after a small parking lot mishap.

I agree I guess.

I still love my car, but everything I want to do is impossible because it's a DD. All of the big power stuff, or the stiffer suspension, the tires I really want, I can't do it, I don't have another car. I'm at the point where I would rather buy something that is faster and handles better than buy something and build it up to that.

This doesn't mean my car is being sold

I was about to sell my car because my neighbor rigged an exhaust on his truck and rev's it every single day.

Then i realized screw that! I rather finish up my car, get it tuned and scare the **** out of him with the anti-lag one day

Dude, there is no way modding your car will make it an impossible DD. Take my car for example: Fully bolted high boost WRX. just cruising that trans could pop at any day. not to mention i have about 2.5 inches of clearance at the subframe and exhaust. All you have to do is be careful. and dont over mod.

It doesn't stop. . . Ever. I thought I was done with modding when I got rid of the Jeep. OOPS, didn't happen. People like us will ALWAYS find something to upgrade, something faster, something better, something cooler. We have an addiction, and it just doesn't stop with getting an other car.

I feel your pain on not being able to go BIG because of it being a DD. I wanted the Jeep to have 4.88's in the diffs, 36" tires, full roll cage, armor out the ass, etc buuuttt that whole 70 mile daily commute put a stop to that. It sucks. but if you hold onto it, eventually you will pick up an other car and this becomes your project.

I don't see the point of going overboard on an MSM. If you want to build up a Miata, you could pick up a 90 dirt cheap ($1500), throw on a turbo kit/engine management/fuel supply/drivetrain ($4000-4500), suspension/rollbar ($1000-1200), wheels/tires ($1000+) and still have it come out for less than a stock MSM. The MSM is a limited edition model (approx 4000 '04, 1400 '05) so it's not something most would be willing to over modify, most stick with the basic bolt ons.

9psi is safe and powerful. Sorry, I don't want 250whp in a tiny car.

Those Rota's look horrible at any other angle. The sportmaxx and Work's look great. I love the RX7 body on the widebody Miata. Wow, straight boss hoss.
