Car Keeps putting it's self into 3rd gear???

For some reason on days like today, When my car hits about 60 mph in 5th gear, It engages the clutch, bleeps the throttle, shifts into third. This is then followed by intense acceleration, Throwing it into fourth before red line and a very big

Guessing your an auto or it would be driver mod. Has it started doing this after a tune(could be a bad tune)?

^^^ yup. then u gotta drive other cars and get back in ur car again to realize how fast it really is. My old job had me drive alot of V8 german cars, thats when i realized that my car is a pretty good thrill, when the pull of a CLK 500 or an A6 4.2 is not all that exciting lol

true, but its not bad once u open up the boost a bit. the first time u experience 18psi is awesome

PS: I ate a Goat like urs alive on the highway (highway like situation on a closed track of course ) when i was cobb stage 2, he even had a head start and i still got by him

I've got about 500lbs less then an sti. Lets just say I surprise a ton of people that try to pick on me. Once I get my third gear sorted out I'm finally gonna go to the track. Hopefully I'll be on the low 12 side of things. Not bad for a little car. lol

Lol i was jk man, actually.. i have a RS weighing in around 2500 and has 300AWHP and it pulls reallllllllllllllllllll hard in 2nd/3rd on the highway. Also because i have the IHI VF23 turbo its full spool is around 3200rmp's

No it's not auto, but yeah it did it every so often when it was stock. After the TBE and the utec was put on it did it more often. Then I got it pro tuned. Now it does it all the time.
