Just an idea I wanted to try out to mix things up a little bit...

*Belmar, NJ (the beach)
*Meet at Ocean Ave. and 14th St.
*Thursday, June 17th @ 7pm
*Parking spots right along the boardwalk
*Hang out, enjoy the cars and the scenery

Should give an hour or so of daylight to take some nice photos and then we can hang out.
Parking spots right along the boardwalk should be plentiful on a weekday evening, and I think they're free at night. Should be cool to line all the cars up along the boardwalk and just hang out in a different setting.
Feel free to set up some mini cruises out there with friends.

If anyone has ever tried to meet up in Belmar and knows what to expect as how the cops respond to a car meet please let me know, because I have no idea.

Please post up if you're interested in doing this, trying to get an idea of what the turnout would be like.

Rather do it on a Friday? I could do that, just figured weekday car meets are better cause they don't interfere with any weekend plans.
People could always cruise down to Pt. Pleasant or Seaside afterwards though if they wanted, or wherever else. Don't think we could have the actual meet there because parking together would probably be an issue.

I would have to imagine it won't be half as busy on a Thursday than a friday-sun.

There are some food places and a bar across the street so there will be some people around, but yeah Friday would be busier than Thursday. If we did it on a weekend we could move down a block or two and it won't be as close to the food/bar.
I just realized if I can plan it right, I can go to the beach all day and then just stay for the meet at night

hmm belmar during the summer. even for a week night its tough for spots but this is cool. shouldn't be too crowded this early in the season.

i think this is a greatt idea. Me and a few friends like to meet up at belmar and just chill. We usually meet by the 711, because the Dunkin is only open til like 9 930? like Venhith said even for a weekday it may be tough. I wouldnt say its tough to get a meet goin, its just the time. 7 is nice because the sun is still upp, butt theyre are still plenty of people walking/joggin around. when the sun goes down thats when the parking spaces clear up usually around 830. (dont let this scare you, there will still be plenty of parking between 7 and 8, but cars will be wide spread)
