We, (I), used to post up about occasional excursions with some friends.

We stopped doing these sometime during the middle of last summer due to some legal issues. PM me if you're really interested and I'll let you know.

We can't really talk about it on the forum.

Regardless, a Clubloose Clinic is probably the best option for you, with a Clubloose C-Class event being the second best. Go out and get some extra tires and an SA2005 Helmet and drive one. The next C-Class event is May 26th at Englishtown's raceway park.

There are drift spots all over South Jersey and Philadelphia.

No one posts them up because they want to keep them a secret so everyone and their brother doesn't use them.

Most groups have their own spots, so just get in with them and you'll find them.

There are no "local" drift spots. Go to Englishtown the last Wednesday of each month. That's as local as you're going to get. Stay off the streets.

You'd be surprised at how many people that do. There's a bunch of people that build cars and only drift them 10 times a years.

But, If you want to drift more then find more events. Between Englishtown, Summit Point, VIR, Drift PA (Oval), and New York you could find at least 2-3 events to drive a month, that are within driving distance. (VIR is a stretch, but it's not a bad drive, I'd go again anytime.)

Is that not good enough? Look at it this way, go to Night Moves, which happen 5 times a year for 4 hours each, pay $40 and get as many runs in as possible. If you get good enough you'll quickly be moved to B to lessen the amount of C drivers who spin every run and you'll get even more runs.

Then go to the weekend events and drive from 9AM to 5PM once or twice a month.

Everyone gets harrassed for just being parked in a parking lot after hours. What makes you think you can drift in one?

Jacki,

I love when you get all thug on the internet. <3

But seriously, Jacki's right - the only thing I'd add is that there are events elsewhere. You're not just locked into Clubloose events, if you're willing to drive a bit more to drift in a safe environment.

Also, hitting up parking lots isn't like it used to be. Now, if you go to an area where the police are familiar with Drifting (I.E. Philadelphia and some lots in South Jersey) you'll get hassled within minutes. It's not worth risking getting a Careless Driving, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Operating a Vehicle in an Unsafe Manner, Criminal Trespassing, or Vandalism charge.

And for those of you that don't think that'll happen, I've gotten a careless driving for drifting in a parking lot, My Brother got a careless in the same lot, We've gotten trespassing tickets in Philly and South Jersey, and to be perfectly honest, it's not worth it. If you value your License then don't street drift. Too many bad things can happen while you're learning or practicing, and god forbid you're in an accident and hit a pole (also happened to me, but I was in the pass. seat) or a curb (did this), or a car (did this), or a person, or a building.

Keep it on the track.

Drift safe my friends, *hug*.

True.

But I know I'd rather drive 3-4 hours to go to an event if there's not a CL event for a while than risk getting a bazillion dollars in tickets... Again.

(Did you know that bazillion is recognized as a word by firefox? That's so awesome.)
