The man responsible for the most important camera in the universe

Big claim huh?

Loren Shriver visited my place of work today to award us a plaque recognizing our involvement on some projects. By total chance I happened to have my 5D2 and 85mm 1.2 with me today because I was expecting some filters and step up rings and such in the mail and wanted to play with it at lunch.

For those who don't know - Loren Shriver commanded the STS-31 which deployed the hubble telescope into space. Got to hang out for 2 - 3 hours and hear his stories and ask questions. Was super awesome - sometimes my job has some cool perks!

I know the photo isn't great in terms of art/composition/lighting, it was impromptu and unfortunately it's raining outside and the neat parts of our building are being renovated so I had no decent place to capture a photo - this was it. Also had no flash or anything. Still, awesome experience. Loren is on the right, on the left is the president of our company.
