sup guys, I live in the warrington area and need some maintainence done on my car, its leaking trans fluid from somewhere and it was burning oil while idle but my dad put some stop leak in it Xo and its gone away but I know the problem is still there. I also wanted to get a boostleak test done and check to see if my lifters are ok (it ticks alot), also it like to sqeel when I turn it on, bacically I need it checked out so I can be worry free in driving it again engine wise.

does anyone here do work on the side or know a place I can bring it asap? I called JNZ but they may be booked for 3 weeks and thats poor planning on my part cause I have off this week from work and I can only really get it done this week. I would like the person or place to really know DSMs cause sometimes I feel these cars are from another planet and last mechanic I took it too messed up my power steering and put a belt that was too long in it ..... thanks for any advise / info

I remember the owner of your car who performed the 6bolt swap, i know exactly where that picture in your avatar was taken.

If you were more local, I'd offer to come over and help you out.

And that leak-stop stuff sucks. It doesn't do anything positive. I bet your valve stem seals are going and that's the cause of the smoke at idle. A leakdown test should be able to determine that.

The lifters will tick. That leak-stop stuff probably didn't help the tick at all. Might have made it worse. The tick is kinda normal for DSMs. They make a new style of lifter with a larger oil hole in them to help stop the ticking.
