Dunno what it was but it was damn CLEAN. Not even a mark on the tires... beautiful... It said SUPERCHARGED on it... and it sounded so mean when it pulled away.

Wow thanks man, that was quick. That thing must have been perfectly restored and the guy knew what he was doing because that thing was flawless and the engine was so loud and strong...

yeah it is an auburn speedster (or probably a replica). I've only seen one and it was parked in Rittenhouse Square. Awesome car has such a presence

It was at the Philly Auto Show. I'm not sure there are that many of them around here.

1935 Auburn 851 "Boattail Speedster"

It's one of the "MBNA" family cars. MBNA bank was privatly owned by the family and they loved classic cars, each enterence to each site had a Ferrari, Duesenberg, auburn, old Cadillac Lincoln and other classic 1910-1950's cars. There were hundreds of cars. Sale of MBNA to bank of America did not include the cars, they were removed form the sites and they are still owned by the MBNA bank family. This here is one of the cars, it used to be parked at 655 Papermill road Newark (one of thr large bank campus's)
