30+ speeding ticket

About mid october I got a speeding ticket from a lower south cop. He was sitting in a parking lot, way back with no lights on. I only noticed it because I had my high beams on and turned them off to be couteous to him. As soon as I pass him he rips out and follows me over a mile. I thought everything was okay until a guy runs a red light in front of me, causing me to slam my brakes and then the lights came on.

No I will openly admit I wasnt doing 45, i was doing 50 with my cruise control on (this is something i have been doing for years) because it was after 2am. He tells me I was doing atleast 75, writes me a ticket and leaves.

Today I had my trial date and went in and he tells me the best he can do is a 6, not 5 but 6 over and I will leave with 2 points on my spotless record. Or I can fight it and leave with 6 points and no liscence. Naturally I chose the submissive way and now will have 2 points following me around for 2 years.

He told me there is no way to prove to me thats what speed I was doing and he didnt have anything with him to show for it, But the judge knew and liked him as well as everyone in the courthouse so I chose to not press my luck with so many against me.

Do you see anything wrong, and If so how do I go about making this dissapear. As well as what do you think this will do to my car insurance. I have nothing on my record prior and am currently insuring to brand new turbo cars and really dont want my rate to change too much if at all.

How did he say he clocked you?? He has to present that In court... as far as insurance Im pretty sure it will go out but i dont know how much...If you knew he was following you, you have slowed down to the posted limit..if you want the points to go away you need a lawyer.. consault one and se what they say...
