ok, i just sold my ls/vtec turbo integra about 3 weeks ago.i just got a call from the guy that bought the car and he was pissed that he blew the motor...i told him it was not my problem i told him what i was told from the previous owner and i drove the car for 3 months with no problems at all. but now he calls and say so i lost all my money and it like that huh? i have to walk again and all this bullSh*t. my question is can he find out where i live and such he was a very gangsta dudeeeee from north philly and do i have to do something bout his blown motor? im only a tad worried for my family sake last thing i want his trouble that will involve my family.

If you sold the car as is and he blew the motor it is his loss. Once he signed the title and gave you the money anything that happens after that he has to take care of. Especially 3 weeks after purchase.

i mean i knew what was done to the car but internal wise i was told the car was built that what i told him...and now hes like giving me Sh*t for it and i didnt know if he could get like a lawyer or something.. im pretty sure he crank the boost up alot or beat that car senseless for it to blow up.

what did your bill of sale state? i would ask a lawyer who deals with this stuff.

bill of sale? there wasnt one he just gave me cash and signed title over to him and he left wit the car at the notary place. now he callin starting all this bull bout how he has to walk and wants me to like fix the car for him.

hahaha glad I didn't buy it! He probably beat the piss out of it. Does the guy know anything else about you besides your e-mail/phone number? Where did you meet him at when you sold the car?

There is nothing any lawyer can do since there was no warranty expressed or implied, but like you said I'd be more worried about hoodlums coming after you. If he really harasses you change your phone number if you feel that will help.

i met him at the mall and then went to fazio to do title and such...all he has is my phone number and i was tellin him it wasnt my fault and hung up on him im not really worried bout him i rather not have some people come to my house and harasses my parents that all. i mean i drove the car everyday and gave me no problems he crank the boost up i think and the car was 12:1 compression.

If he were to get a lawyer the only shot in hell he'd have is if he can prove that the car he bought is somehow not what it was described as when you sold it. In other words, if you said it had a built motor and listed what was inside it, and he can prove that it was an internally stock motor, he could argue that's the reason that it blew up, and that he didnt get what he was told he was paying for.

But i wouldnt worry about it. If youre confident that your description was accurate and that you as a seller have done nothing wrong, youve got nothing to worry about.

You sold a modded car. Last time I checked, adding more power to a motor wears it out if not blows it up faster. So I see no expressed warrenty/guarentee it would last. Your fine as long as you described it for what it is and didn't fluff it to sell.

nope i told him what i was told. i also told him i didnt build the car all i did was buy it as a daily driver to do work on my si. but o well when he test drive it he beat the day lights out of it in front of me so i have a feeling he did beat the car.

always write a bill of sale. regardless, he has no recourse at all. nothing stopping him from finding out where you live and shooting you though
