Emissions question for older cars?

I have an 86 mazda truck that I just rebuilt, its got no fancy electronics and no ecu. I did put an aftermarket carb and a header on but I kept the stock cat. Anyone know how emissions works with a truck this old? is it just visual? Theres really nothing to hook it up to b/c there is no odb port

I'm pretty sure they do a tailpipe test for non OBD cars. The actual testing depends on what county you live in.
