Best cars 8-10k$

Well, after pretty much putting on a power point presentation ive convinced my parents to co-sign a loan for me for getting a newer car. Its going to be from a lot as one of the conditions so i know imma prolly limit my choices down, but what do yall think are the best cars for that price range.

Criteria
  • Import
  • manual
  • prefer rwd/awd
  • Limited maintenance besides regular
  • Reliable

  • S2000
  • WRX
  • s4?(More info needed)
  • 350z

I know, but rotarys are so unkind,as ive seen in my shop.
I really do love wrx's and its what i had in mind when i was talking to them about this, since im only 19 i dont have credit, which is why theyre co-signing.
So any other ideas guys?

I'd do a higher mileage S2000 or a DSM if you want cheap power but be prepared to keep up on your maintenance.

RX8's are nothing but a headache so stay away.

I dont think imma find an SR s chassis on a car lot.

S2k is another reasonable option, since i know a good amount about everything honda.

You can't expect gold for 8-10k, but I'm sure you know that. I'd personally say step out of the Import criteria and get yourself a nice LS1 car for that price...I don't think you can ever go wrong while taking a step in that direction...but I'm not sure what your opinion on all of that is.

If you want to keep it import, I think a Z would be your best bet if you can find one for a good price.

Im just not a fan of american cars, they dont last as long mileage wise. Also the re-sale value is terrible.

Z and WRX and possible s2k seem the best.

is300, but good luck finding one manual. and sorry, its a different 2jz

im in the same situation as you honestly. thats my price range, and i really cant find many cars i want.

i really like s2000's with hardtops, but the hardtop bumps it out of the price range lol

i'd say S2K or 350z, both will be on the upper end of your price range though and most at that price will have higher mileage and or have been beat on. have to be careful because may be more trouble than its worth. just because you are getting a newer car doesn't mean it won't be just as much of a headache as an older car, if in the wrong hands before your ownership...

there was a nice 350z on here for 10k, seemed like a good deal that nobody was jumping on. probably still available.
