Updated GPS Mount & Backrest - Honda Hawk GT (Motorcycle)

Bike will now be more comfortable for the girls riding b*tch (Trista *cough*). Also, this is my 99% of the time GPS mount. The other waterproof one was quite large and will mainly be on if I must ride in the rain. Pardon the dirty bike, I had to ride down my friends 3/4 mile long dirt/mud driveway on Sunday. Need to clean 'er up now:

The GPS mount? It has 2 pivot points. The base and the GPS side.

Is that a RAM mount for the GPS?? How do you like it? I always wanted one for my old SV, but I made one out of some left over aluminum I had laying around for free.

Hawk GT's are teh sex. V-twin, Single Sided Swing Arm, Ahead of its time (m4 exhaust). Kudos.

curious, and prolly a noob question. Is that just a standard car gps? Ive heard the vibration and everything makes the regular gps units unable to function on a bike?

Yes, that is a RAM mount. I figured if I do it, I need to do it right. Free is definitely better than $$$, though!!

Thanks man! I love my Hawk GT. I've only seen 2 others in person ever. I've come close to selling it for an SV, Ducati ST2, and a 600RR (at different times of course), but I ride the Hawk again and realize that this bike, even 20 years later (it's a 1990) can keep up with the best of them in the twisties. I prefer to have unique rides than something every single person has or can have. Just my personal preference

It's a regular, run of the mill Garmin Nuvi 750 for a car. It's approx 2 years old. I have used it in my Camaro with SLP Loudmouth exhaust, my truck, my Jeep off-road, and the bike. Never had an issue *knock on wood* with response. Currently the battery sucks (drains in 5 mins when not plugged in) so the mount is powered. Also, when it direct sunlight it's slightly hard to see, but with the FM transmitter on the GPS, and the receiving in my ear, I don't need to see it all the time.
