Hid problem

I installed an hid kit in my bike last year and it woked fine until the end of the season it started flickering/strobing. I've checked to see if anything is loose and everything seems fine. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows a fix for it?

It never shuts off completely just gets brighter and dimmer really fast. Sometimes it changes with rpm and sometimes it doesn't.

ive got a 12 or 14 gauge wire running straight from the battery to it and i wired a relay energized by the original headlight wire. I just dont kno why it started doing it all of the sudden.

How many blast are you running? If two are both acting up? Do they ever have problems firing up? If only one is swap good one see if it works on that light. If they have trouble starting the bulb probably the ballast and usually what craps out on most kits. If that doesn't work check your voltage while running if it fluxs up and down bad you might have a bad voltage regulator. Also go over your wiring loose and bad connections can happen over time and are a bitch to put a finger on.

I'm just running one now. Haven't sprung for the high beam yet. If I don't figure it out by the time I get it I'll try swapping ballasts. I might try hooking my ohmmeter up and checking resistance through the power wire. Idk how to test the actual ballast without trying another bulb.
