What's with kids these days?

My buddy and I met up on the top level of the Cherry Hill Mall parking garage to install my vortex generator. He has a white Evo X and I have a black one, both of which are obviously modified. 3PM, Saturday, sunny and perfect weather for... shopping inside a mall?

While we're parked up there several teenagers (I'm guessing teenagers) drive like idiots when they see us. One stock Mustang decides to "roar" it's engine. Another semi lifted SUV that looks beat to hell drives around fast and dangerously.

I just don't get kids these days. And this doesn't just happen on the top levels of the Cherry Hill Mall parking garage It happens at every meet everywhere. Today I went to get my wheels changed and I had wheels in my back seats, trunk, and in my front seat. I'm just cruising on rt 70 going 55 mph and some black Cobalt (not even SS) with black wheels comes zipping by me going 70 mph. I lol'd. I hope he saw me in his rear view mirror laughing.

Ehh, I just don't get it.

I know what you mean. I was at the mall and see them working on there cars. I floor it so I can get away as quickly as possible.

Then I see some kid using his car like its a truck hauling wheels. I floored it as I laughed my ass off at the kid.

You drive an Evo.....weather you like it or not in the car culture you have a "race me" sticker on your back. Idiots will feel the need to puff their chest and say they hung with a (insert popular/fast car) and then tell all there friends about it.

Same story different decade.

Tell me about it man... it's very prevalent in North Philly... every dude in a Honda thinks he needs to prove something regardless of what he or you have... I went home the other day and some hatch was behind me just doing burnouts behind me at the light, then pulled ahead of me to floor it... idiots I swear.

i don't get it. through out the 4 years i owned the srt and the few short months i've owned the mustang, i've never had someone revving on me or acting like a douche. i've only had a few people flag me down to talk about the car.

People leave me alone, mostly because they know it isn't worth my gas :-) But I know what you mean and it doesn't bother me one bit. It is just one more thing that entertains me while I drive.

The "work" took one minute lol. He was already at the mall and I just needed a hand putting it on. The other 10 minutes we were there we were just talking.

i was coming home from the shore yesterday and as i was driving on the expressway a group of kids in a black honda accord wagon were in the left lane going pretty slow. so i got over and passed them on the right and i was going 70 or 75 i think. i wasnt trying to atract attention. so this dude mustve floored it to catch up to me. now idk if he thought i wanted to race or show off but i clearly wasnt. understand im driving my avenger (2.7L V6) and they got this little piece of **** accord wagon. i eventually passed him further up the road

Happened to me last night. I was on my way home from the Tony lukes run and I was on the highway doing a little more than i should have been 65-70 in a 55... (so sue me) this kid in some honda goes roaring past me than stops and slows up till i get even. Starts honking his horn to start off a race. I dropped it a gear just to meake it sound like I was taking off but givving it no gas Because the area i was in was a total hotspot for cops and was hoping this kid would have gotten taught a lesson but no cops there. kid looked about 16 or 17.

another quick example was when me and some people from here and NJtuners were at a meet just yesterday at a lowes in piscataway, NJ there was a few dudes just passin by one was in a toyota yaris (stock sedan) revving, then some dude in a suzuki (stock sedan) who neutral dropped and still didnt break his tires loose, and a dodge 3500 dualy cummins (modded) who just wacked the gas and dumped your typical black soot all around the cars

then someone on here with a mustang apparently who had to park in a completely seperate parkinglot and rev (because he wanted attention????) then leave....didnt even get out of his car (maybe he needed to change his tampon?)

point im trying to make it that weather your young, redneck, old, some dude whos having a heavy period this month, or just simply not born in this country, you will have all the varryiances(sp) of ricers and there cars /trucks to deal with because the major lack of common sence thrives in everyone who is only educated by those who lead by example

Albert Enstein(sp?) once said "There are two things that are infinite, the universe, and human stupidity. But i'm not so sure about the universe."
