Well....First thing is that he trimmed the tabs and rudder so it would purposly give it a rooster tail..which is always cool...but had it been trimmed correctly he would have gained about 10-13mph

However i wouldnt mind having two 1300HP BBC 454's or 502's in a boat

Actually down at the beach my Dad is friends with this one guy who has a big Cigarette boat that has two 454's in it and the thing sounds so bad ass. He's only a couple houses away from us on the other side of the bay. He sinks so much money into too.

I wonder what sort of intercooler if any they run. An air to water setup would be ideal since they don't need a reservoir.

the first boat had a direct drive. the crank is connected to the prop or impeller, no trim there. he can only control the trim tab with two wrenches most commonly done while not in motion lol......it has one big trim tab across the back of the boat that is adjustable with wrenches. looks exactly like the rear spoiler of a race car. basically that is a "drag race boat" and the spoiler is setup the same way as a race car would. The driver makes a pass in the boat and they adjust for the same reason a car would to keep it level and straight at high speeds....there is only two things that driver needs the throttle being the gas pedal (yes i said pedal) and the steering wheel....tryin to trim that boat while racing at speeds of 100+ would be suicide...........hahaha

Edit: all of those hull boats have that roost after a certain speed....come over the house on a saturday in the summer and chill out back and watch all the boats go up and down the delaware it never gets old for us!!
