speeding ticket help

I have also "asked the law", but since you guys are not alowed to post in there, Id like others input and experience.

No donations needed. But i would like some input to my situation.
Yesterday afternoon in was on Rt 30, returning from droping parts off at Xotic/Andrew, and got pulled over for speeding. I was in my subaru, but probably would have been going faster in another vehicle because i drive cautiously in the WRX. I was trying to pick my daughter up on time so i would have been pushing the speed limit in any vehicle i would have taken (had to clarify that with my wife so she doesnt become a suby hater). I do not usualy drive fast. I know, im a Dumb a$$.

-At first i was pleaing guilty and sending the $ ($190), but iv decided to "fight" or try to plea a lesser violation/speed in hopes of getting less points. I dont give a ratsass about the $/fine. iv done this with great success in the past, last one being over 3 years ago. Just showing up and being respectable usualy helps. I know the chances are slim ill get pulled over again b4 some points are knocked off (one year) but i need to atleast try to get less points. I dont think anything worse can happen.

-Any input or not i cld legitly fight the ticket? he got me with RADAR. Wld a radar detector have saved me? I need one anyway.

-Is there a time limit he has to give a ticket? Can they keep you there an hour to give a ticket? probably all day if they want.

My grandfather was a police chief out there and now a mayor. he use to specialize in radar adn vascar so im also calling him to get some consult.

thanks

Just showing up helps. Sport compact car even says this after they talked with sources and they its worth a shot. I got rid of a ticket for running a stop sign cause i said i couldnt see the sign thru the trees?

Well thats more legit than just "praying for mercy". I was pretty much caught "red handed". But i did have a legit reason to be driving fast, IMO, and the road was very clear.

jk about legit reason...rrrrrr

yes, im going to try to pleas to a lesser speed, like 65 or even 70 , so no points. It all depends on the judge and how the Trooper is feeling. Ill offer free pathology consults for liftime and afew girl friends as a brib.

usually you get NO remorse from a trooper. Good luck, but you might get 3 points for 84mph.....
