I had a cross threaded lug nut and it sheared off the threading of my lug as well as the lug nut. i never dealt with this before. where's the best place to go to get that fixed?

It's a pretty simple fix as long as you got the lug off. Just a matter of getting a new stud and lug nut. Replacing it shouldn't take long.

Almost anywhere will do it you can even do it in your drive way if you have the right stuff

best bet is to do it yourself....if you dont know much about cars...you can still do this....

more than likely your stud is only messed up & needs to be replaced...(@ least its not like the situation i had....1 of my tuner nuts actually snapped while still opn the stud....the base of it was still connected to the lug.,,,,so i couldnt get the wheel off...i wound up having to drill the lug completely out)

anyway....

1)take off wheel
2) turn wheels to access the rear of the rotor
3)spin rotor... (my g20 has dust shields.that have a little window/access poanel in them ) untill the lug is @ the point.
4) get a good hammer (& block of wood if you scared)
5) hammer stud out
6)put new stud in from the rear & push as far as you can get it...
7) Either put your wheel back on & tighten everything down & it should pull the stud in

thanks guys.i ordered a new stud and going to order new lugs now too.
