paypal b/s

I'm just posting this because I found out that this is a common thing on paypal.

story;

I go to buy a lip on ebay. attempt to pay with paypal. says its passed my limit. I have my bank account and credit card linked through paypal.

I upgraded to a premier member. it has a link that says Verified and reads: "You are now a Verified PayPal user. In addition to increased security, buyers and sellers value your Verified status because it indicates you have passed PayPal security checks."

I owe no money and have purchased one item @ $455.05 on January 15th. the payment has cleared. my ballance is $0.00

what can I do to fix this problem? this isnt just me, I searched their lil community and a ton of people had the same problem with no solutions. I figured somebody on here or may know somebody that may have had this same b/s problem.

thanks guys.

I hate PayPal dude. I have the PayPal credit card and I always have issues with it. It it 'sometimes' easier to get my money out of the ATM faster when it works.

Def call their customer care though, they have always been helpful to me.

I don't understand your problem either, but I'd have to think its most likely that its a configuration issue on your end... if you call and talk to their CS reps they should be able to help you get it straightened out.

i bought something for $500 last month.
it cleared.
I want to buy something now for 50 bucks and now it says my limit isnt that high
I went to lift the limit like it said how to. but it still says I can purchase the item. tho paypal says I dont have a limit anymore.

but like I said. the credit card info wasnt correct, at all. so I re-did that and am waiting for a 4 digit code from them.

if this doesnt solve the problem I'll call. but I guess I'll just wait the 3-5 days it says.

even if you're a verified member I think you can only move so much money per month....

even through your bank you might be only to transfer so much and it is throwing up flags with paypal. call them and talk to them about it

Your thinking about that backwards. You can only REMOVE so much from your account without being verified. It used to be 500 a month before i had to get a business account when i parted out a car and had a few grand go through the account. There should be no limit on how much you can purchase through the account though.

I've never had a problem with my paypal account. My only issue with paypal is that if someone screws you over and dosent send a product they will only freeze the sellers account and remove the money that is directly in that account. So if you transfer money as payment for a product or service and the seller takes the money out instantly....you're screwed. Their is absolutely nothing you can do to get your money back and they will not pursue the matter any further.

It's always safer to use a credit card for big purchases.

ahh, fair enough. I've been verified forever, and don't use it much. I'm probably thinking of before I was verified. There was a $500 limit somewhere.

I started my paypal account way back in 2000. Their may have been something with the really old accounts that required me to upgrade to be able to withdraw over 500 a month. Like that fact that my account didn't get charged the 3% fee for any money i received before i was forced to upgrade.
