All it is, is a coupler that goes in between tubes on the intake, higher up from the intake filter... that's all... it's just a secondary filter... not a bad idea..

With the little power you are gaining from a CAI the bypass will make that much less. Also your entire filter has to be submergred under water in order for your motor to suck up water, air is less dense then water therefore your motor is going to intake the air rather than water unless like I said your entire filter is underwater. I would pass on the bypass and just make sure you don't go through any huge puddles
