Oakes - Detailed: 1994 Toyota Supra - Auto Show Prep - TROLL

[Oakes]

A full auto show prep detail of a 1994 Toyota Supra, in black! This car was done by me months ago, and has since been partly repainted and re-buffed by someone other than myself. The paint work itself was done well! With that said I still had some work cut out for me, and with only 3 1/2 days to do the car, as well as an STi, time was scarce. We went to town on this car, addressing the engine bay, the wheel wells, the wheels, the paint and everything in between in great detail. The overall result was pleasing, aside from some irreparable defects in the paint through detailing, she came out almost flawless. The purple accents throughout the car definitely help it to pop and contrast the almost all black look to it otherwise, definitely a show car!

I owe a huge thanks to Mikhael, 04AV6SPD on here and R/T Tuning for making it possible to get the car done on time, and transporting it to the show!

P21S Paintwork Cleanser
Blackfire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant - Black
Pure Carnuaba wax
Lots of sweat, tears, exhaustion and a little bit of blood.

Upon finishing this car, time to take extra pictures and such was slim, so I didn't get many finished paint photos and the photos taken outside were at the crack of dawn. i know the lighting you use is super harsh, but it bums me out that the paint had so many scratches even though i try to be so careful with the car!
at least it looks good now though, i guess i'll try again to keep up with it, and i'll have to have another convo with you about how to wash and care for it...

I drove it like 1.5 blocks from Vine Street to the entrance ramp at Race St.! Just enough to rip on it a wee bit .

Nick, do you have the photos I grabbed of the dropoff too? I know RT was interested in those photos and so am I.

I need to dig up this thread for a kid who did details like Nick. He took off this exhaust and I swear to go it was black, and then posted picture of it cleaned and it looked like he bought a new one. That's the only place I think Nicks details lack, but maybe you didn't get the gold package.

Dimitri, if I had the time, more would have been done. I had 3 1/2 days to do both Trolls and Bills cars, is the kid you're referring to the owner of two 22bs? I've seen his work, he also did all that over the course of a month...

Yeah I wish we gave Nick some more time for these but it just didn't work out that way with mine or Bill's schedule. Nick did great for the time he had which really wasn't enough to spread over 2 cars, but of course as the photos show he made a big difference with the paint.

Why are you getting so mad? I didn't say anything negative. I just thought the cars needed more tire shine and maybe the exhausts cleaned. I didn't know your schedule or time frame, so....yeah! Trolls car wasn't that bad, I saw it before you got it. Bills car? I will never detail that car ever again! He like lives in it and eats food in there or someting. What a pig!

I thought Troll just got the copper package.

Dimitri, I'm not mad in the least lol. I was just stating that I couldn't have gotten that indepth if I wanted to, just comparing the differences. That guy does awesome work, but I just didnt have the time. So...YEAH!
