Well its been a great winter-- almost 8 weekends auto parts store runs, online ordering, trips to and from NY but we got everything together today and she starts right up. It was a good feeling. All thats left now is to take the car over to a muffler shop to get the turboback installed then over to Evans tuning for injectors, and a tune. Shooting for 450-550whp (hopefully higher) But here is a glimpse of whats to come.

BTW, have him take his car to JM Fabrications for his custom exhaust. He won't be dissapointed!

Shortly after that, have them bring the car to me to get detailed. I'd LOVE to work on that beautiful car. Looking forward to the results!

That thing is just beautiful! My favorite kind of car, and this is prob. now my favorite car on the site. When you say race do you mean is a track car or just really fast? Is it legal on the streets?

Its fully streel legal. well sort of. Its registered, fully insured and inspected. It should hit the streets in about 4 weeks. 1 weekend for the exhaust. 1 for the twin disc thats going in and 1 for the 1000cc injectors, twin fuel pumps and a tune by evans. Well thats the plan anyway. Time seems to double if not triple with this car.

So on these cars that aren't 100% street legal, what can bite you in the ass? Because I know a lot of people have them, and are able to get them registered and insured, but they aren't federally legal. So could a basic speeding ticket get your car taken away? or would it have to be something really bad?

wow that garage is begging for a lift (if there isn't one already in there that was off camera).
not even a downpipe on it currently? guess it all needs to be custom. i had some exhaust work done at jm fab as well and they did a really nice job.
looks good... i agree about that elbow but i'm thinking there's a chance thats a temporary thing. are you keeping the yellow valvecover?

everyone hates on the yellow valve cover. Its staying on there for now. I am dead broke and about $3K away from the car actually hitting the road after a tune. I was looking at the aluminum elbows but the ugly vibrant one is stayong on there for now. There is so much more I want b4 i start tackeling the little stuff like painting the valve cover and cleaning up the engine bay. I am just trying to get the car ready for some time attack runs b4 the season starts.

thats cool... you're doing quite nicely so far, and we've all got ongoing never-ending projects, haha.
if you need a 3" elbow i have an extra one i've been meaning to list for sale, but yours might be a 2.5".
