Sands in bethlehem

so who's been there? being fresh from my trip to vegas I thought I would go and check the place out and I felt like I was in a nursing home...seriously nowhere have I seen more wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and walkers, then I did that day. Social security at work...

But regardless, now that rendell passed allowing table games I can only guess that place will get bigger and bigger, and I wonder what they're building next door, there's a whole shrouded up structure right next to it.

I'm not a big gambler so it seems nice to me. I played the slot machines for about five minutes and then I got bored and headed to the bar.

building the hotel currently. That site also has future plans for a theater, movie theater, and a high end shopping plaza. Its going to be big.

It will be one of the biggest outside of Vegas once the table games go in. Going to be great.

With the whole table games being approved that's going to kill AC. I know a lot of people that go down to AC for poker, now they can just stay in PA.

Are they putting a poker room in in addition to the table games? This would make me VERY happy. Here fishy, fishy, fishy...

I agree--with the bethlehem steel site being as huge as it is, easy access from 22 and 78, combined with the fact that its not slums (yet) will make it an attractive place compared to AC. The only thing missing is the beach but there's the gorgeous lehigh river!

Not the slums? True, but its not far from it now either.

I live about 20 minutes or less, depending on traffic, and I have not once gone there yet. I do want to go to see what its all about but I'm in not hurry what-so-ever.

Liz and I were there last night and watched a band in St.James gate and then another one by the parking garage entrance. I enjoy it but yeah if you go during the week you're the youngest person in the room by 30 years easy lol
