Looking into a smart-phone

So I am looking into getting a smart-phone for myself, being as its getting to the point in my professional life, to get on board here.

As of right now, I am still using an OLD LG VX8800 (had a Dare, it was stolen, NOT letting that happen again).

So, I have been checking out a few different options, and was wondering your guy's thoughts on them.

Option 1:

Motorola Droid:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...reviewTab=true

Option 2:
BB Storm2:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=5067

Option 3
Samsung Omni II:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=5110

Now, These are all VZW phones, and I am not going to be changing providers to get an iPhone. So, to all you people who WANTS to tell me to get an iPhone, don't bother.

Also, any other suggestions on VZW, please let me here them. I will be in a store on Monday also checking out stuff in person as well, to see what I like.

+1, In my experience with the Storm, its slow and laggy. I got my first blackberry (BB Pearl) a year ago though, and I love it. I love all the other's that i've played with as well. I've turned into a blackberry nut hugger haha.

The pearl is just flat out too small for me.

I had a blackberry, loved it yet hated it. Now I have a droid and have no complaints so far.

What about battery life? That seems to be a big complaint with the Droid.

Decent, bad?

I would also suggest the driod.. But the battery life may suck alot.. By the end of each day my t-mobile g1's battery is almost dead.. I mainly just browse the web and text message.. I would suggest bringing along a usb cable if you are going to be near a computer most of the time..

lolwut

I've also heard complaints about the BB Storm.. but from people I know and what I've read online, BB Tour (9630?) is great.

I think they also just came out with a new Curve that has a touch pad instead of a trackball, which looks pretty neat.

Are you gonna be using it a lot? I get bad life cause I'm on the net all day at work and always texting. I.e. right now haha. But if you are gonna use it for calls and texting its fine. I can make it thru most of the day without charging it. But if I forget to charge it over night, I won't make it thru the afternoon haha.

heres the thing with Blackberry batterys, they arent meant to be drained and recharged to full, the recommend charging at every possible time, like plugging into your computer at work or car charger, the battery also depends on how many apps you run at all times, obviously if you run RSS feeds, Instant Messenger, and Maps with live GPS instead of just the regular texts and calls it will drain faster. It also depends on which version operating system you put on it, for example, my 9700 is running a leaked OS, the battery lasts about 2 days with standard apps, texts and calls all day. Of course like every battery, over time they get weaker, they recommend a new battery atleast once a year i believe
