noob question

I am trying to find a new lens for my canon EOS digital Rebel XSi... I'm looking for either a wide angle or a fisheye. Uses would be car pics and some fun nature stuff. And to tell you the truth I dont even know where to start to be sure that a lens would fit my camera.

Can someone give me advice on how to search for a lens and recommend either fisheye or wide angle and why?

sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance for your help

Depending on your budget, take a look at the Canon 10-22 or Tokina 11-16.

For the fish eye, take a look at the Peleng 8mm. It'll be MF on the Canon body but at 8mm, the DOF is large and MF won't be an issue.
