Anybody work at a dealer or garage? (looking for tires)

Does anyone here work at a dealer or garage that sees lightly used tires come off of customer cars? I'm looking for two sets of 14 inch tires for various family member cars. As cheap as possible would be good..

Email this guy through Ebay...

http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/drtires/

I bought 2 front tires for my X5 through him, advertised at 70%+ tread, and my mechanic ended up measuring them at more like 95% of original tread depth. When I got the tires, they literally looked BRAND NEW. $300 tires for $60/per shipped, nearly $500 in savings.

If you email him, he will keep an eye on the size that you want. My sizes were a bit more odd, so he couldn't find another set of rear tires in the time I needed them, but your size is probably a lot more common.

seach for used tires on Craig's List. There are a few places very local that offer them at decent prices.

But a 14" tire isn't all that much new so why not just go somewhere like BJs, they offer free road hazard and mounting and balancing. Plus their prices are actually really good. I'm sure you can find a buy 3 get one free and then with the free mounting/balanceing you are basically paying for 4 new tires for the price of only 2.
