Foolinaround's 1g Revival. Whos has a clutch fork?
So i bought this bad boy from 4drstunner with the assumption the motor is blown to ****. I havent had time to actually take it out since ive only received it a couple days ago. It is a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. So after delivery into the boondock area garage,i asked my buddy if i could buy his stock 1g long block from his talon he had just swapped, and he agreed. So after a struggle about how to actually get the block up off the ground we wrapped it in chains and 4 of us lifted it into the back of his suburban, and we were off to drop the new heart at the garage. I dont have very many pics only one i took with my phone i have to get the rest off a camera i borrowed. ![]() I have a gasket set on the way to replace all the gaskets on the new motor, and thanks to rich i have a balance shaft removal kit to do as well. Shopping around for clutches right now,so stay tuned for more exciting adventures, and prolly a lot of cursing.

Make sure that you replace the TOB, pivot ball, and clutch fork when you do the clutch. Welcome to DSMs.
Get familiar with these: vfaq.com dsmtalk.com dsmtuners.com plymouthlaser.com jnztuning.com streettunedmotorsports.com I have a love/hate relationship with Tooners, and I never ever post on there, but there's crazy amounts of info on the site, and they have quite a few vfaqs, too. Make sure that you do the water pump and timing belt when you're in there doing the gaskets. STM and JNZ are realitively local shops that have made great strides in the DSM world, and both have great forums attached to them too.

Im already on dsmtuners and dsmtalk.
my buddy is a huge dsm head so he already told me about vfaq and STMS thanks for all the info. and no thanks i want a fresh clutch nothing used. Edit:For the honda heads we had hondamarketplace that was a huge classifieds site that had vendors mixed in showing off their deals making it easy to shop and compare pricing,is there something like this for dsm's?

They are the only 2 with DSM's,the rest have hondas, but ive known them for 15 years easy and we've been friends since elementary school so they convinced me to try it out. Really my integra was turbo'd but i hated fwd,so i said whats better then turbo'd and awd.

Haha, who said anything about love/hate relationships? I love my car, it hates me, haha.
(edit) Skip right to Link, SAFCs are junk in comparison.

DSMLink.com. If that doesn't get you wet, you're messing with the wrong cars. However, if you decided to go the weaksauce route and get an AFC, and trust me, skip it, I've got a whole bunch of parts that you might be interested in. Link is the single best mod you can do to a DSM.

Yeah,i just read a bunch of threads about it,and on most guidelines to say 350awdhp they have the first mod as DSMlink.
Looks like a sound investment after i pay back the 3gs i owe.

Palms are awesome. I carry one in my whip for the times I just can't leave a laptop in it. I've used MMCS and Palmenstein with great results. Palm III's are sweet, too because you can recharge them because the biggest problem with loggers is that they lose everything when the batteries die. So, the simple solution to that is use a logger cable with a power splice and just feed it off your cabin fuse box. Just keep in mind that they are pretty much only a logger, and not so much a tuner. If you're going to grab a logger, grab yourself a boost guage and a WBo2 sensor while you're at it. The WB is a hurt on the pocket, but it's a worthwhile investment for tuning and reliability. Stay away from narrowband o2 guages period.
