Metal recycling

I would like to know if its possible to get paid for recycling scrap metal. I have about 50lbs or so of powder coated steel. Its brand new metal, it is left over from a project I did. The parts are feet and lower structural members for server cabinets.

thanks

As said above. You can take it to a scrap yard but even with 100lbs of metal, You're only going to get around $2.00. I have ALOT of metal at my garage including rotors/transmissions,cats ETC... I am waiting for anyone that wants it to come take it because I have no use for it, And it's not worth it for me to take to the junkyard, Even if it is 500lbs etc..

Yeah, you're not going to get much for 50 lbs worth of scrap metal. I have these people who come around my house looking for scrap metal every now and then and I get them to take all my stuff.

Scrap market is in the dumps right now.

Where do you live, I'm sure there is a scrap yard local you could call and ocnfirm prices.
