DE doesn't really have a car scene per say...but you can always find meets and things in the surrounding areas.

Not sure I haven't been to one in a while. It's just a get together to bull**** and get some food.

Whats the reason for wanting to leave it in storage in KY? Do you have a second car to drive around?

Yes sir, I have a 99 expedition awd I was thinking of driving until spring as oppose to leaving the s in a parking lot on base, it's been garage kept and I hate to change that now....

Yes the windshield is 35 % only noticeable when the top is up

welcome to Delaware and the forum =)

Like everyone else said, there's not much of a car scene in Delaware. Are you planning on registering your s2k in DE? If so, they'll take one look at the windshield and have you remove it.
If i were you, i'd leave the s2k in storage until spring. The winters haven't been too bad here the last few years, but Delaware is the kind of state that if there is freezing rain, they completely cover the ground in salt.

well, Newark police have cracked down alot on cruising and "illegal" modifications, such as window tint and exhausts. So, that caused alot of the scene to disappear.

thats the worst---it was literally the haven of tuning when I went to college (Graduated 06). Quality cars out from all over just to cruise main street then enjoy the 2 lane highway to follow. I used to work in dover too--a lot of rice mixed in with nice cars but still there was a lot going on--I guess the times are changin..

Now its nothing but RICE in Newark and believe me that is NOT an understatement. It's actually quite sad. I remember the good ol days when Burger King used to be the place to be on Friday nights and there were so many nice cars up there.

Negative, the car is going to stay registered here in ky that way it doesn't have to be inspected ... I dunno if they can ticket out of state vehicles for things such as window tint but I'll take my chances when I get up there...

Try to keep your car registered there if you can. I was able to keep my car registered to NM the 6 years I was stationed at Mcguire. Didn't have to worry about inspections. You shouldn't have to worry about getting a ticket for the tint.

They do have newer housing units at Dover with a one car garage. I don't know how long the wait list is for them if you do try to stay on base.

Keeping the car garaged during the winter sounds like a great plan.
