Precision Turbo releases waterless ball bearing turbochargers

Just thought it was interesting and haven't been able to find any info about it except for the bit that Sound Performance posted on SupraForums...

Ball bearing turbos are not coming air cooled instead of water cooled. They just use an oil feed and return line, no water lines. Claims to spool even faster than their water cooled counterparts, and available in both cast and billet compressor wheels.

These units feature an air-cooled, ball bearing center housing rotating assembly. Dual, angular contact ceramic ball bearings are utilized for maximum durability and an increased thrust load. These units require the use of a 1/8” NPT male fitting on the oil feed side, and use a -4 oil feed line. At this time, we do not feel it is necessary to use an external oil feed restrictor fitting. At the minimum, we recommend the use of a -10AN oil drain flange/line. Water cooling is not required on these units.

These Units are fully rebuildable and use no water lines!!!!!

Sizes are as follows and are Noted billet or non billet wheel!!!!
5757 $1224.99 Non Billet
5857 $1224.99 Non Billet
5857 $1599.99 Billet
5865 $1224.99 Non Billet
5965 $1224.99 Non Billet
6057 $1599.99 Billet
6165 $1399.99 Non Billet
6265 $1599.99 Billet
6365 $1981.99 Billet
6765 $2109.99 Billet
6765 $1599.99 Non Billet

Other sizes to Follow soon.... All we can get right now is the 57 and 65 turbine wheel turbos for this new rotating assembly.

As far as spool... I have been told they will be even more efficant than the ball bearing turbos that use water... so on paper they should spool a tick sooner than there water lined cousins!

I have been told that the rotating assemblies are ready but there might be a small delay on the exhaust housings.

If you have any questions I will try my best to answer them.

Thanks,
TIm
