88 honda accord - overheating problems

ok, so i have my beater car, a fine and sexy 1988 honda accord, her name is Jane.

my car has been overheating lately and i wanted to go over everything that i've done and see what i can try next.

new radiator with new coolant, new thermostat. if i'm driving highway, no issues, if i start sitting in traffic for more than 10 minutes, i can start to smell the coolant and when i stop and turn my car off it is overflowing into the overflow tank, it sounds almost as if it's boiling.

i have checked my coolant levels, made sure that the fans kick on and both upper and lower coolant hoses. all is normal, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
olsookie

It does sound like the water pump. I would also change the timing belt as it will be easier to pull the timing belt cover to the side to squeeze the pump into place. Plus, you can change the crank and camshaft seals while you're at it.

They don't make light weight pulleys for these cars.

dang, i get ready to do this and then their was Power steering fluid dripping from the passenger side! WTF! LOL, gotta love the beater! good thing it was only like $65 for all the timing belt and water pump crap! ROCKAUTO.COM best site for stock parts!

anyone know what part this could be as i didn't see where it was dripping from, i just want to order these parts before i start ripping things apart or taking it to a friend of mine to fix it.
