Wedding Photographer

I'm getting married April 24th 2010. I know a bunch of photographers/videographers on here and like the various styles of each one. My thought is this, would any of these fine photogs want to shoot my wedding? I was thinking of having like 2 or 3 photogs there getting taking photos. I don't need an album, or prints, just the files. I would be willing to let them use my equipment if needed as well.

I do weddings for reasonable rates compared to the other options out there, but its high stress/responsibility and hard work so its definitely a paid gig for me. I have plenty of wedding samples if you want to check them out and we can talk to see if we can work something out thats good for both of us.

Well i'm hoping to find people that would like to build their portfolio, and help a fellow friend/photog out. Since i would like to have more than one photog, i imagine that would relieve some of the stress. I've gotten some quotes from wedding photographers and their prices are ridiculous. $300+ per hour and then on top of that spending another $100 for them to eat, is just not for me. I'm not saying I'm not willing to pay, I'm just not willing to pay that much, especially from seeing the samples that I saw from the "professionals".

Oh I totally understand... pretty much everything about a wedding is very expensive.
When you take out the album and all the extras the costs can come down quite a bit, but most wedding photogs dont do that since they need to make a living on it. And as a photographer I'm sure you understand that good work is worth paying for, and weddings require an incredible amount of time and effort in preparation and in post, as well as the big day of course. I'll get back to your PM and maybe we can talk on the phone... whatever direction you end up going in I'll try to assist in what way I can.

I have a few weddings here and there before that date so i should have some experience beforehand instead of coming into it blind

My sister does it. In the business-- its all she does. As many/few photographers as you need, photos on an itouch that day and editing etc
