Sooo I'm firefox retarded apparently..

First of all I am not very computer savvy. I guess that is problem number one.

Problem number 2 is that I need to give up on this outdated turd and upgrade to a new computer.

But, for the time being I would like it to work a little better if possible.

For some reason Firefox will not remember my user names and passwords.

Until recent weeks I was always logged in as soon as I went to any page.

Now, if i stray away from a page for five minutes and go back, i've got to re-login which is simply annoying for me

I've looked all over the options and tools and I just don't see what I can be missing but I honestly don't understand most of what I'm looking at anyway.

I downloaded the most recent version with no changes to this problem.

Any insight on how to fix it?

Have I accidentally put my computer into some sort of safe mode?

In Firefox, try Tools > Options > Security. From there I have buttons for 'Exceptions' and a button for 'Saved Passwords'... try checking your saved passwords to make sure that they're actually saving. I'd check the 'Exceptions' thing and clear any websites that are in there that you're having a problem with. It should ask you again when you go to the site again if you want to save your password

Hope that helps!

TST logs you out with like 5 minutes of no activity. It's always annoyed me too. If I'm understanding you correct, it has nothing to do with Firefox.

I never get logged out of here until I clear my history/passwords/cookies. If you log in and click the remember me tab you'll stay logged in forever. Oh and I don't let FF remember my passwords either.

you can also setup firefox to clear the cache/memory when you close it. if its setup to do that, its one of the reasons you'll get logged out a lot.
