I've always run smaller wheels but I found the wheel I want in an 18 and I'm wondering if it's going to look awkward on the car. My mini is on Koni coilovers and is pretty much slammed, so keep that in mind.

It will be gay with a lowered suspension. Get some 17s with a nice 45 profile and you will have a solid mix of looks, comfort, and preformace. If you went 18s with a 35 profile you will just bend your rims in a pothole and feel every stone on the road(especially with a small car to begin with), assuming you can even fit without rolling your fenders.

I like it better with the 18", IMO it looks better. But this is coming from guy that has a slammed car on 18".

id go small as possible. some badass wiiide 16s or something like that. lowered of course.

with the right offset and stance, 18s would look fine. that just my opinion

Not a fan of 18's on the R53, personally. Or any Mini for that matter.

I prefer 16's, 17's are fine, but I feel that 18's are too big, IMO.

Im slightly biased but, Smaller and wider serves a purpose. Bigger just looks like wagon wheels, and we all know how that goes. Wagon wheel falls off, lose 2 days on the Oregon Trail.

to pull of bigger wheels your gonna have to have alot of camber.

id do some 16 or 17 x8's with atleast a mild drop.

18's look ballin when your out pimpin around. Well until you hit the pothole.

If it were me driving it everyday I would probably roll on some 16's, 17's tops!
