Any idea what it would require to put it back to stock ECU? Using the AEM standalone, don't you have to use different sensors and ****?

Why wouldn't it pass? My civic running Hondata and a turbo would pass. I understand they plug some newer cars directly into the computer. Even still you could modify the aem to output the signals the computers needs to pass it. Hell you could program it to pass while black smoke is bellowing out the back if ya wanted to.
By the way I am running an older Haltek right now and plan to switch to AEM this winter. Haltek runs in DOS so it's a tad outdated. Not on a car that requires inspection though. Last edited by turboman808; 08-21-2009 at 02:51 PM. |

Pretty much ant true standalone engine management will not pass inspection, there is nothing there for the emissions machine to communicate with. The best bet is keeping it exempt.
