Recently made a trip to the new Casino in town, after relizing I had left my drivers license in my car I thought I could use my LTCF as proof of age.

Wrong.

The thug waiting on the gaming floor refused my entry saying that a PA LTCF is not a valid form of Indentification because of the lack of magnetic strip on the back. We exchanged words for a few minutes until the pit boss came over.

I just couldnt believe that an ID issued directly by the Lehigh county Sheriffs office with picture/ DOB would not work in Bethlehem because he couldnt run it through a scanner.

Was I wrong?

you probably saved your ass alot of money anyway, my LTCF has a magnentic strip, i dont know if it would scan through the same way a license would. sometimes when they asked for id at a bar or somewhere i sometimes grab my ltcf thinking its my license, but i put it back and use my license because i dont want to look cocky or get a weird stare.

F that, I dont mind using my LTCF as ID at all. I leave my license in my car now most of the time, my carry holster has a little slot for my LTCF so I put my debit and LTCF card in there and use it as my wallet.

I was just a alittle angry they gave me **** for a Government issued ID. Like every hobo that comes into the casino has a magnetic strip ID? My ass.

I got denied access to a bar with my LTCF. I looked at the bouncer like, "Really? This is government issued photo ID..."

All I wanted to do was piss, lol.

That's nothing. I was hanging out with some of my wife's friends a few months ago, one of them was an Aussie. We went to a small bar near our house and bouncer said it couldn't be used a valid ID.

My head nearly blew up from the stupidity of the situation. I was just way too tired to argue with that kind of stupid and went home and went to bed. From what I could hear outside the music was terrible anyway.

casinos are fail proof, unless theres too much corruption. millions of dollars are going through those places a day.

your License To Carry Firearms is issued by the COUNTY you reside in - NOT the state, or the government.

so if they require government ID: one issued by some bumblefcuk county in pennsylvania doesnt mean much to them.

why would you even use a LTCF as a form of ID? you trying to advertise the fact that pennsylvania is a shal issue state and because youre not a convicted criminal, they have to give you one? anyone in PA who isnt a felon or mentally unstable can sign some papers and get themselves a nice shiny LTCF too. I mean really dude, go whine about something legitimate.

I was wondering why he didn't just use his license too.

By the way, in your above statement, you can replace LTCF and any mention of firearms with driver's license and automobile references and it would be accurate.

well honestly, he was doing his job. for you complaining, it makes you seem like a little baby about. They need your license so they can scan it correctly and make sure its not fake. They didn't pick you out or anything, they have a process they go through and thats what they do to make sure they can avoid an underage gamblers. Yes, you have that other thing, but is it scannable?
