Major mods joke...

Ok, we all know cars have their own "uniqueness".

DSM's aren't known for their reliability, but when they're running they can lay down some serious power.

Saturns are known for burning over a quart of oil every 3,000 miles, when the engine gets older, you burn about 1 quart every 1,000. Almost no need for an oil change.

So here's the joke:

First major modification for any DSM:
A good set of jacks.

First major modification for a Saturn:
Stock in oil. (I had 5 quarts of mobil 1 in my trunk. Down to 1, so I should probably get more.)

Anyone got any others?

(it's not hating on other cars, just simply a joke.)

Touche.

I would have said the first mod to a saturn is a for sale sign and a loan for a new car, but lets not get technical here.

I'll steal one from Chris i thought was fairly comical:

How are a 400hp Supra and a 700 hp Supra similar?
.
.
.
.
.
They both run 12s.

Not a joke -- however, BMW engines are notorious for buring oil. 1 quart every 1000 miles is considered normal. M-engines are worse!!! And they require the good stuff also.

1: How much oil do they hold? A saturn engine only as about 3 3/4 - 4quarts. Not much at all.

2: The LLO has such massive blowby, I bet you a las vegas hooker couldn't keep up.

DSM reliabilty is bull****.
I've been beating on my car for 20k miles now. Bought it w/100k on her. She still runs like a top w/no major downtime I didn't ask for myself.

My M3 burns no oil between changes, and I run Mobil 1. Actually none of my BMW's have really burned much oil or my mother's...

My WRX ate about a quart of Mobil 1 every 3K. Supposedly it was because I broke it in with Mobil 1.
