iphone 3g with t-mobile questions

i have the t-mobile samsung memoir and am trying to get an iphone. i did some research and it seems like i can get the iphone to work with tmobile. my question is, will all the apps and apple updates and eveything work fine or am i gonna have trouble later down the road. i would switch to att but the plan i have right now with tmobile is awesome and the same plan would cost me over $150 with att.

does anyone have or know anyone that has the iphone with tmobile?

To answer your question, yes, you can use the Iphone on Tmobile, but it must be jailbroken and unlocked in order to do so. All apps from Apple will still work, as these are software dependant not carrier dependant.
