Finally home from my trip. Took about 950 pictures, they are uploading now. Honduras Policia busted our balls everyday, took our passports, demanded money, were first class asshats. No worries though because in one of the bus searches one of the Policia took off his jacket and set it down on a seat sooooo I threw my jacket over his and now I have a real live Policia Vest lol.

I was in:

San Salvador, Apenaca, Auchapan, and Ataco El Salvador.
Managua, Grenada, Boaco, and Rio Blanco Nicuragua.
& Tegucigalpa Honduras.

In total I saw 260 childern/ elderly/ and the bed ridden. Everything from Severe malnutrition to a open abdomen gun shot wound. Even did stiches on a dog with a machete slash.

The teams primary goal was to rebuild several school and provide medical care to the locals. 5 men, 13 days, 3 countries, and 1 mini-bus. Along the way we picked up locals who were friendly to the team and they would tag along for a week or so completing random jobs along the way. The final 10 days we were joined by a group for ladies who would provide a week of schooling for the kids of Rio Blanco Nicuragua.

While sleeping in Rio Blanco I was also stung by a Scorpion in my right thigh. Not fun at all. I knew that it wasnt poisonous but it still hurt like a bitch and still is swollen. I spent a few days in the Boaco medical center after that one.

Im pretty much speechless about the entire trip. You see the commercials about people with dirt floors and no shoes but you shrug them off. I have been invited into their homes and been treated to a feast by those same people just because I came and gave their families physicals.

Bull testicle soup, armadillo, Iguana, you name it Ive eaten it. I dined with El Salvador Nacional Army Vets, Sandinista Guerilla fighters in Honduras, and Contra Fighters in Nicuragua. How do you relay those experiences to people?

Pretty much, yea.

In Nicuragua we were given several trucks for the 9 hour drive from the capital to the town which we were working in. There are simply no places to buy construction supplies in the mountains. So we went and hunted down the Minister of Education and had a meeting with him. We had to pay for the gas but they comp'd us the trucks. You can see in the pics that one of the trucks broke down in a little town called Muy Muy. Hole in the Water filter, JB weld that bitch!

i love traveling and i love meeting new people and learning about them.

One of my brothers went to Ecuador for mission work for almost a month. He just got back from China for almost 3 weeks. Its a neat experience if you can handle it.
