I always wanted to get my car shot professionally. I don't want to pay though. Unemployment sucks! I was wondering if a college student who needed pieces for a portfolio or someone who was bored wouldn't mind doing it. I'm in the Lehigh Valley Area. Let me know. I'd like to then take the pics and choose a few to blow up and make into a poster.

I'm in the same position. I talked to one guy on here about a shoot for $ but at this point of my build i don't think it's worth paying to much until i have the car really finished. I now know enough people on here that photo for fun and take great quality stuff that i want to just meet up with them and see what we can come up with. That may be your best bet. I don't think your as local as a lot of them but i'm sure if you came out to a big meet early or something people will work with you.
The poster idea is awesome and exactly what i want to do for my garage. I had some 6meg 8x10's made up for free but there def not to the standard i wanted.

I would do it, but your about an hour and a half from me. Also I don't know any good shooting locations by you, only ones by me. Maybe we could work something out, shoot me a PM and we can talk more.

Get in contact with Namdoogwerdna on here, I don't know about his "rates" per se but wouldn't hurt to ask. That and he's really good at it haha

there's 2 places by me i really want to do it at. The Bethlehem Steel or the one parking garage right next to it, about 2 blocks away. They would both be pretty sick so i'm not sure.

Hmm, my one friend sometimes will take pics of my car for me, for free. She's got a really good camera, and does it as a side gig. Id feel bad asking her for free again, shes a busy person. Maybe we could both throw her some $, or get more people to go.

No disrespect meant man, but there aren't too many GOOD photographers that will shoot your car for FREE. You have to pay a man for his time. My recommendation is to go to http://www.asianguywithacamera.com and get a hold of him. He does excellent work, and charges anywhere from $50-$75 for as many pictures as you want. He's on a limited schedule, but I'm sure you could work something out with him..

Yeah I wouldn't have a problem doing it but because of the distance I would at least want my mileage covered. If you ever find yourself heading to Mount Joy with the car drop me line. I'll do it for free.

Yeah, i figured, when i get a job again (hopefully soon damnit) i'll look into it more. Just threw the idea out there to see if anyone would bite. I wouldn't want to drive out far either.

LOL, Phong hate me! LOL, me and him chat all the time!

His photos go on many mag's and sites BTW, and usually every weekend hes at a event taking photo's.

He shot my car and I've grazed the cover on two Nissan Sport Mags

Yep, the "bad economy" goes both ways. My full time job takes priority over my photography, even though I have tons of money into it. I do a lot of car shoots, but free usually doesn't work for me with all my equipment, my lack of free time, etc.
