Glad to see you guys aren't marking it up.
The 6 is nice but the exhaust is sounds somewhat "tinny" and while it's capable it is not quick. Ive driven quite a few, both the V6 and the V8, as well as the standard and automatic versions of each(including both Hamels' Camaros). Even going 5 miles an hour you can feel the difference between the two engines. The 8 feels like it wants to be let loose, while the 6 is content plodding along(which is great because this car needs to appeal to everyone and not just the speedfreaks to be successful). You're right about the Challenger not comparing too. It's a nice car, but its big, slow and not nearly as tossable/fun to drive. The Camaro isn't perfect by any means, but unless you're going for strictly a cruiser it trumps the Challenger by a mile. |

oops, sorry for the mistakes. it is, after all, our first new camaro. btw i dont make the prices, haha.
i will agree that the v6 seemed pretty quiet, and was def very relaxed to drive. ... but once you start getting up in the R's, i could feel the power start to kick in. i would buy one if i was ballin like that. the challanger seemed to me like just like a trimmed down charger. same fit and finish, just a little smaller i guess. |

No prob and I didn't mean to sound like I was coming at you, but it pisses me off when I see people marking cars up. I understand why it's done, and if they can find some dope to pay it I guess let em have it. The dealership I work for isn't even taking any orders on Camaros right now because the demand is so backed up, so if somebody wants one now this is one of the ways they're going to have to go about it.

^ yea i mean, when a car is so in demand, dealers can afford to up the prices. Im sure theyre not solid on that price, but at the same time its like, if your going to have a car sit around longer than usual, it might as well be a sick nasty car that youd actually like to see everyday when you get to work, :p
edit: i checked it out and it looks like the options got deleted. the car def has leather, moon roof, boston acoustics system, all the good ****... but i didnt see it checked off on the site. hopefully it will be good after it updates Last edited by frosti108; 07-28-2009 at 11:11 PM. |

So whats the deal, was it bought at auction or did somebody trade it in? I've heard of quite a few dealerships buying these cars from Chevrolet dealers at list and then sitting them on their lots and marking them up a couple grand. |

i gotta do a little research to figure out what exact trim this thing is lol
honestly, i have no idea about this cars history. what i can tell you is, it didnt even need to be detailed when it came in. just clean as can be. its technically used, so i guess someone bought it and then quickly changed their mind. maybe its too much of an eye catcher, or maybe they needed a 4 door. this happens a lot |

I company that took goverment bailout money should not be allowed to mark up cars. They should be forced to take any reasonable sale.

You realize that this is being sold at a Toyota dealership right... And while I agree, these types of things are out of GM's hands. Its the dealers that place the markups, and since theyre individual franchises GM doesn't have much control over what they do in that regard.
