Surprised there isn't a thread on this already, but maybe it's not hugely popular in the eastern part of the state where the Eagles dominate.

So good ol' Big Ben is being accused of raping a woman a year ago. However, the lawsuit is civil -- NOT criminal. No charges have been filed. There will be no investigation.

Personally, I think it's just another person out for money. The fact that it's only a civil suit, and has been so quiet in the media, is very suspicious.

Ehhh sounds pretty sketchy to me. Why would she only do civil? Criminal doesnt stop her from doing civil too.

She probably had a little relationship with him and now would prefer a he said/she said rather than a formal investigation.

I call bs on her.

Ha, well OJ was actually found guilty in the civil trial. Only not guilty in the criminal.

Criminal = without reasonable doubt
Civil = greater than 50% chance.

I too think that its all about the benjamins. However, she does claim that she went to security and they basically told her to get over it, and due to their stance was weary about involving the police. The other red flag for me is that it took her this long to come out.

I suppose I'll be the first asshole to go there, but also, of all the girls Roethlisberger can get(through consentual process, the guy is a millionaire celebrity, tons of girls would give it to him just for those reasons alone), he chooses to rape her? From the pictures I've seen she is lacking in the looks department.

My guess is IF this happen she prob. turned him down (because after all its NOT all about money, good looks, etc and there’s some people who still have morals) If this happened most likely he flipped, his big ego took a hit like "your turning down ME?" and forced himself on her (IF this happen)

I just really have a hard time seeing something like this being probable. Thats a good point, which I didn't consider too much before your post. My thoughts are more in line with what Rush is saying. The situation sucks regardless of whether the allegations are true or not. Here she is.

It's not a big deal because we know it's just her after money. He's done stupid things (see motorcycle incident) but this is just absurd.

Why was there never criminal charges filed? It's rediculous her bitch friends probably said oh he won't call you now sue him say he raped you. It's bogus plain and simple.
