New member here, recently displaced from MSV. From Lancaster Pa, rollin in a sweet blackout Spec V. For anyone also displaced from MSV, I was Irish_mechanic, but have since shortened to Irish.

This place seems like a great site, and I've heard only positive things. Thanks for having me!

Welcome. I almost picked up a Spec V last year, and am still thinking about doing so. Heard about MSV getting the Ol Yeller treatment, bummer. Enjoy your stay, man.

Yeah, MSV is no more. It was about time actually, as much as i loved the place, it definitely had rabies.

I would recommend a Spec to anyone. The supra was pretty fun, but a lousy DD. The eclipse was stupid fun, but rain/snow was a Bhatch. The spec has great potential, 29mpg, and is great as a DD with little to no modifications.

Welcome! I'm from the Lancaster area, too -- live closer to Harrisburg but I'm still in and around Lancaster pretty often.

When I first saw this thread, I was hoping you might be the owner of a pretty nice-lookin' yellow Spec V that I passed on 283 yesterday .. but apparently not, heh.

Edit: What's a MSV? Other forum that self-destructed?

Welcome man...I actually didn't even know that MSV had shut down, I was just reading about the whole situation on the FI-R forum.

I'm surprised because that was a pretty good forum, and although it had it's share of drama I don't think it was nearly as bad as the V Board (another Spec V forum which shut down almost 2 years ago).

I don't own a Spec anymore but it's still sad to see. I hope either Travis or someone in the community can pick up the pieces and get something going again soon.

Tks! MSV was the greatest Sentra specific (not just spec v's) forum to date without question. The sentra community has suffered a great loss.

I'll keep my eye out for you, how far into lancaster do you drive?

There are a lot of new forums jumping in line to take the place of MSV. I think 4 since it shut down, and one before that... It would be great if Travis would be able to buy all the data/posts and put them back up...

Both jobs I work are in Lancaster -- Gibraltar (restaurant right across the street from Franklin & Marshall, near Park City) and the WGAL TV studio.

Either (or both) of those could be a friend of mine. He has a blacked out Sentra (non Spec V) -- black wheels, tinted tails, painted headlights, tinted windows, all that.
