salvaged title?

Im currently looking at a car with a salvaged title in connecticut. It was never wrecked or anything it was a stolen recovery. Anyways it runs and all that and i know i have to go threw inspection but how much of a pita is it to get a rebuilt title and has anyone ever done it? I have read the dmv site about it and it tells me it needs inspection and have to bring pictures and reciepts for all the work.. idk

For what state? PA isn't hard to have it retitled.. just time consuming. Is the car being re registered in CT or is that just where its being purchased?

It wouldn't be a salvage title if it was theft. It would be a theft recovery title I think.

This is true in pa. I dont know about CT they might just classify it as salvage. Either way, sounds fishy and i would never buy a previously stolen car. GL tho.

Unless it is a retarted good deal and you do alot of research before you buy. I would agree with Username. Especially taking a salvage from one state to anther.
